AMAMI OSHIMA ISLAND

“Bask under the sun and swim in warm waters”

Amami Oshima is the largest island in the Satsunan island chain and belongs to Kagoshima prefecture. The island’s climate and beautiful white sand beaches draw tourists in to relax and swim in its warm waters and take advantage of snorkeling opportunities to enjoy the island’s rich flora and fauna. The island is also the proud home of the Oshima Tsumugi silk which for centuries was used to create superior quality kimonos.
