CHIBA

“Fun in the beach or theme parks.”

Chiba is highly likely the first prefecture any visitor will see as it is where Narita International Airport is located. Chiba also houses a variety of museums and the Narita-san Temple whose buildings date back to the Edo era with sacred Buddhist artifacts. Its proximity to the beach makes it a popular destination for surfers and swimmers. It is also home to popular theme parks, most notably, Tokyo Disney Resort which includes Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

You can read more about Chiba, its local attractions and must-see places as well as some navigational guides in Japan National Tourism Organization's Web Site.
