Hirado is an island of Nagasaki prefecture and is a beautiful and historic location full of interesting museums, Christian churches, white sandy beaches and an imposing castle, Hirado Castle, nestled in the Japanese countryside. It is one of the earliest Japanese islands recorded to have had trade relationships with the Portuguese, Dutch and British traders.
