HIRADO ISLAND

“Historic and beautiful Japanese countryside”

Hirado is an island of Nagasaki prefecture and is a beautiful and historic location full of interesting museums, Christian churches, white sandy beaches and an imposing castle, Hirado Castle, nestled in the Japanese countryside. It is one of the earliest Japanese islands recorded to have had trade relationships with the Portuguese, Dutch and British traders.

Climate in Hirado Island

Annual temperature is roughly between 6°C (43°F) and 26°C (80°F). June expects the highest precipitation (about 340mm). July to September are the hottest months (about 25°C or 77°F), and January, February and December are the coldest months (about 6°C or 43°F). Great care must be taken against heavy rains in the months of August, July and June.
