“Remembering the Past.”

History remembers Hiroshima as the site of the first atomic bombing in 1945. Today, a moving memorial to commemorate this tragic time in history exists in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Other popular attractions include the Hiroshima Castle and Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island best known for its otherworldly torii gate.
