ISHIGAKI ISLAND

Ishigaki Island is the urban center and main island of the Yaeyama Islands offering numerous nice beaches perfect for a good snorkel or dive experience. The island has the highest mountain in the Okinawa prefecture and with its hilly landscape, it is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy a good hiking experience.

Climate in Ishigaki Island

Annual temperature is roughly between 18°C (65°F) and 29°C (85°F). October expects the highest precipitation (about 250mm). June to August are the hottest months (about 28°C or 83°F), and January, February and December are the coolest months (about 18°C or 65°F). Great care must be taken against heavy rains in the months of October, April and May.
