ISHIKAWA

“Rich history amidst the sea and mountains.”

Along the coast of the Sea of Japan sits the long, thin prefecture of Ishikawa. Nature lovers will enjoy the access to both the sea and mountains in this prefecture. Beautiful beaches in Noto Peninsula or Masuhogaura Beach or the mountainous Hakusan National Park are popular sites to visit. Ishikawa’s claim to fame is its prefectural capital, Kanazawa, well known for its cultural and historical riches like castles, geisha districts, samurai towns, temples and the world famous Kenrokuen Garden.
